The Hazards of Playing the Harp and Writing

The dangers of art have long had the attention of philosophers and politicians.  These engravings by Thomas Landseer in John Shaw’s ‘Plates of distorted spines’ (1824) highlight the dangers of writing and playing the harp.  By its very name, HARP the People’s Press enthusiastically takes up this double risk.
