Dorothy Lander crafted the botanicals collages and M’s humming companions — hummingbirds, dragonflies, bumblebees, hummingbirds — from pressings of flowers, leaves and evergreens, moss and mycelium. All of Nature’s gifts were gathered from the gardens, meadows and verges of Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral lands of the Mi’kmaq in northeastern Nova Scotia.
The individual cards are $4 each plus shipping. You can choose any 6 for $19 plus shipping or all 12 for $37 plus shipping. For orders in the Antigonish area, arrange for pick-up or delivery by contacting harppeoplespress@gmail.com or Tel. 902-863-0396

M is the humming heroine in Hmmm and you will find M made of botanicals throughout the story. If you have an “M” on your gift list — Mary or Max, Merlin or Mom, Mi’kmaq or MacDonald — here’s the title page M turned into a card suitable for framing.
The five Gratitude Pages that profile M’s companion hummers and flora, complete with their botanical names, e.g., bumble bee (bombus impatiens), are available as greeting cards.
The back page of the greeting card presents the background of the writer and artist, and of the botanical storybook Hmmm – M the Humdinger.
